MLA International Bibliography
A major research database for literature, linguistics, language, rhetoric, writing studies, folklore, and related humanities fields. Access may depend on institutional subscription.
DOAJ: Directory of Open Access Journals
A searchable index of open-access scholarly journals from around the world. It can be useful for locating peer-reviewed open-access journals and articles.
DOAB: Directory of Open Access Books
A discovery service for peer-reviewed open-access academic books. It may be useful for locating scholarly books and edited volumes available in open-access form.
An open catalogue of scholarly works, authors, institutions, sources, and related research information. It may be useful for exploring publication records, citation networks, and scholarly metadata.
A tool for searching metadata for journal articles, books, datasets, standards, and other scholarly outputs. It is especially useful for checking publication details and DOI-related information.
A catalogue of language corpora and linguistic data resources. Some materials may require membership, licensing, or institutional access.

A research-management and sharing platform that can be used to organize projects, share papers or preprints, register studies, manage research materials, and support open-science workflows
A free public collection of instruments, materials, stimuli, data, and coding or analysis tools used in language research, including first language, second language, multilingualism, language education, language use, and language processing.
A major resource for child-language data and language-development research. CHILDES is the child-language component of TalkBank, and TalkBank also includes other language-data banks.
A program for analyzing data transcribed in CHAT format. It is widely used with CHILDES and TalkBank data.
An annotation tool for audio and video recordings. It allows users to create multiple layers of time-aligned annotations, such as words, translations, comments, glosses, or descriptions of observed features.
A widely used program for phonetic analysis. It can be used to analyze, synthesize, manipulate, annotate, and visualize speech sounds.

A reference resource for information about the world’s living languages. Some content may require subscription or limited-access browsing.

The following AI tools may be useful for writing support, language learning, translation assistance, research organization, source-based note-taking, transcription review, brainstorming, and multilingual communication. Users should always check outputs carefully and should not enter confidential, identifiable, sensitive, or unpublished materials unless they understand the relevant privacy, institutional, and ethical implications.
